The journal was large and bulky, yet lightweight with a smooth, glassy, hard covered surface. Bright green rays of light shone outward from the letters of the book. The journal itself seems to be written in some primitive version of Egyptian Hieroglyphics but a closer look reveals that the language is actually Greek, possibly originating from the city of Atlantis. As you open the journal the letters on the page shatter and reform before your eyes converting to simple English. The bright green rays of light die down as the words become readable. The story begins with royalty in the lost city of Atlantis; the princess of Atlantis had willfully committed adultery with another man that was not her husband. The king had found out about the intimate relationship with his daughter and the man who was not her husband. The adulterer and his entire family were banished from the City of Atlantis. They called themselves simply the Rogues. As you continue reading you find oddly enough the journal does not record the names of the people mentioned in this story. Hours pass as you continue reading the journal. The Rogues departed from Atlantis and many months passed; without the protection of Atlantis the Rogues would not survive long on the ocean floor. As if a gift from God the Rogues stumbled over a rare find – A water dragon egg within an undersea cavern; possibly abandoned by its mother. Later on the Rogues discovered the corpse of the mother dragon who had been a victim of the vicious undersea Naga attacks. Caring for the egg carefully the Rogues was successful in hatching the young water dragon. He was named Aero because the world that existed above the ocean intrigued him more than the world he lived in. Often Aero would gaze upon the stars in wonder when he was close enough to the ocean surface. As the Rogues cared and loved for Aero they discovered that the water dragon's size and growth was directly linked to the love he received. He would grow larger and larger each day receiving love from the ones who cared for him. The Rogue's population began to grow and multiply under the protection of Aero as decades upon decades passed, but every now and then a monster battle between Aero and a large sea monster would leave the Rogue's settlements destroyed. Aero continued growing nonstop reaching massive heights and lengths. Some Rogues saw Aero as more than just their guardian. As you continue reading you begin to forget your surroundings as hours and hours of time pass and the story itself becomes your surroundings. A day had come when Aero was infected by a sea monster attack – The massive, powerful sea dragon had been driven to the verge of death by infection. A small team of Rogues volunteered to explore the dragon's insides in search of the root cause of infection. They discovered many winding passages and fleshy tubes leading throughout Aero as well as many different empty storage areas. By process of elimination they found the inside of the dragon's body was not as hostile as they had expected. As they continued their search for the infection they risked digestion swimming into the dragon's primary stomach. They had found what they had been searching for - A parasitic nest within the dragon's stomach. Attacking the parasite they were successful in eliminating the infection and exited the dragon's body safely in one peace; Aero recovered. As you stop for a moment you realize and remember where you are. It has become late as and it could be time for a break. On the other hand you could risk reading more of the journal to find out what happened to the Rogues... After exploring the dragon's insides safely a farfetched and impossible idea came to the Rogues; to build an entire civilization within the massive dragon. There was much quarrel over this matter and for many years the idea was pushed aside. But a time came when the undersea Naga attacks had become so violent and so vicious there was nowhere safe to hide. An impossible idea came into existence as the Rogues took their last option living in Aero as a unified civilization. Seeing Aero now you know Aero must have been much larger before. The Rogues lived safely inside Aero caring for the massive sea dragon more than ever before, Aero had become their guardian and their shelter. Within the journal you find a map of the dragon's insides including all the accessible passageways and storage areas. Aero continued battling sea monsters when the time came; he would swallow ships on the ocean surface so the Rogues would have materials to build. The Rogues built water vessels traveling in and out of Aero whenever need be. Masses of treasure amounted in Aero – Never had the Rogues been so prosperous and attacks on the Rogues had died down. Since the very beginning of the journal over 80 years had passed within the story. Now since the beginning of the story the Naga attacks were performed on many various settlements but after the Rogues found safety their attacks became more focused on the lost city of Atlantis. In their very need Atlantis called out to the Rogues for help – The very city they were banished from. There had never been a conflict between the Rogues and the people of Atlantis and so the Rogues pondered the idea of coming to the very aid of those they were shunned by. The Rogues came to the aid of Atlantis and helped Atlantis fight off the Naga attacks. With Aero standing as the guardian of Atlantis like a massive statue with feet and paws planted on the far ends of the massive city, the Naga attacks stopped and war had subsided. After 80 years of being banished, the King of Atlantis opened its doors to the Rogues again, removing the banishment that had been placed – A thank you gift to the Rogues for coming to the aid of Atlantis in time of need. But the Rogues saw what has happened to the massive city; it had been almost completely destroyed by the Naga attacks. The Rogues had already found safety within Aero and they would not abandon him. Aero and the Rogue population continued to grow and trade began between the city of Aero and Atlantis. Just as you believe the story has begun to come to an ending you realize the story does not say what happened to the Rogues. You have spent much time reading by now but possibly curiosity has taken a hold of you. The story continues on; handlers like captains of a ship were chosen by the Rogues to manage, love, and care for Aero. A day had come when Aero had become too large to manage a stable diet. He became less and less active resting on the ocean floor for long periods of time slowly dying of hunger. The Rogues panicked and began to plot the idea of abandoning Aero. Small teams of Rogues attempted to hunt for the dragon but their attempts to keep him from hunger were futile. Now a female handler that had proved her selfless love for Aero had been chosen at the time. Every handler is forced to take an oath, to love and to care for Aero more than they love and care for themselves. As a handler she knew that if the Rogues abandoned Aero he would surely die. She also knew that if the Rogues stood within Aero the civilization would surely collapse. Knowing that Aero would have a chance of survival if the Rogues did not abandon him she commanded Aero to swim to the deepest part of the ocean. She knew without a shadow of a doubt the massive dragon Aero would survive at the cost of the lives of every Rogue. And with that she commanded the dragon to sleep, trapping herself and the entire Rogue civilization inside Aero. Aero was put into a coma by sheer hunger sleeping for many years on the ocean floor. As you turn to the last blank page of the journal the back cover closes. It can be assumed that the Rogues died out within Aero, and Aero himself recovered after many years slowly shrinking over time. It occurs to you that the cruise ship you were traveling on must have awoken Aero after all these years. And now you know the story of Aero...
The story behind Adventure Aero.
